At Op BASE CAMP, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for everyone taking part in our experiences.
We believe that every participant, instructor, volunteer and partner should be treated with dignity and respect. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and forms part of how we plan, deliver and continuously improve our programmes.
This policy forms part of the Op BASE CAMP Booking Terms & Conditions.

We expect everyone involved with Op BASE CAMP to:

We will not tolerate discrimination, harassment, bullying or abusive behaviour.

Many of our experiences are delivered on behalf of military units, charities, sports clubs and other organisations.
Where appropriate, we will work alongside the safeguarding policies and procedures of those organisations.

Although most Op BASE CAMP experiences are delivered to adults, we recognise our responsibility when working with young people or adults who may require additional support.
Where applicable, appropriate safeguarding arrangements will be discussed with the organising body before the experience begins.

If anyone has concerns regarding the welfare, behaviour or safety of a participant, instructor or member of staff, they should raise those concerns with Op BASE CAMP as soon as reasonably possible.
All concerns will be treated seriously and handled appropriately.

All Op BASE CAMP staff and instructors are expected to:
Behave professionally.
Promote participant welfare.
Follow safe working practices.
Report safeguarding concerns.
Respect confidentiality where appropriate.

Participants are expected to:
Behave respectfully.
Follow instructor guidance.
Respect personal boundaries.
Support an inclusive environment.
Report concerns if they arise.

Photographs and video may be taken during Op BASE CAMP experiences.
Where practical, participants will be informed when photography is taking place.
Any requests not to appear in promotional material should be communicated before or during the experience and will be respected wherever reasonably possible.
