The Nordic Experience
Bring your group together in a unique winter environment and give them the opportunity to experience the challenge, freedom and enjoyment of Nordic skiing.
Op BASE CAMP works with established charities, clubs and organisations to create bespoke Nordic experiences for formed groups, including groups with participants who may require adaptive equipment or additional support.
Every group is different. We work directly with the organising body to understand the abilities, requirements and objectives of those taking part, allowing us to explore the most appropriate programme, equipment and location for your group.
Whether you're looking to introduce your members to Nordic skiing, create an inclusive group adventure or give participants the opportunity to take on a new challenge together, we'll work with your organisation from the initial idea through to your time on snow.

Adaptive Groups
For established groups that include participants with disabilities or adaptive requirements, we'll work with the organising body to understand the needs of the group and explore appropriate equipment, instruction, support and location options.

We'll remain in contact throughout the planning process, helping your organisation prepare for the experience and coordinate the key elements before you travel.
What We Can Provide
Choosing the right destination is an important part of creating a successful group experience.
We operate in selected Nordic destinations including Sjusjøen in Norway, Idre in Sweden and Bessans in France, each offering its own Nordic environment, trail network and facilities.
For Charity & Adaptive groups, we'll work with your organisation to explore the most appropriate location based on the abilities and requirements of your participants, the activities you'd like to experience and any accessibility considerations identified during the planning process.
Our aim is to match your group with a destination that gives participants the best possible opportunity to enjoy their time on snow.
Finding the Right Location
We understand that delivering a successful Nordic experience for groups with different abilities and requirements takes experience, careful planning and the right people on the ground.
Our team includes experienced instructors with backgrounds working within GB Para Nordic, bringing valuable knowledge and experience of supporting adaptive athletes and participants on snow.
We also have experience working with the Armed Forces Para Snowsport Team and the Invictus Games Foundation, giving us an understanding of the positive impact that adaptive sport, challenge and the winter environment can have on individuals and groups.
Our approach starts with understanding your organisation and your participants. We take the time to understand who is taking part, what your group wants to achieve and what additional support or adaptive equipment may be required.
From planning and location selection through to instruction, programming and equipment support, we work alongside your organisation to bring together the key elements of your Nordic experience.
Most importantly, we focus on what participants can achieve. Our aim is to create a supportive environment where people can develop new skills, build confidence, challenge themselves and experience the freedom and enjoyment of Nordic skiing together.

Our Charity & Adaptive experiences are designed for formed groups booking through an established charity, club, association or organisation. We don't currently accept individual bookings through this programme.

No. We can explore experiences for groups that include participants with a range of abilities. We'll work with your organisation to understand the overall needs of your group during the planning process.

No. We can work with groups where participants are new to Nordic skiing, as well as groups with some previous experience. We'll discuss your group's experience and abilities when developing your programme.
